How to Prepare for your Maternity Photography!

Plan your shoot early.It’s better to schedule your maternity shoot early so that you can get enough time before your delivery.The best time to take your photos is in your third trimester, between 28 and 32 weeks.Plan to book a shoot for your third trimester.

Discuss with your Photographer what kind of photographs you want.
It’s important to discuss your thoughts with your photographer so that you get what you want.If you have any particular concept in your mind let your photographer know about it.

Take care of yourself before a shoot.It’s advisable to take rest and eat well before a shoot.

If possible get your hair and makeup done professionally. Consider hiring a makeup artist and a stylist.

Get plenty of rest the night before so that you look fresh the next day for your maternity shoot.

Stay hydrated and don’t skip breakfast.Have juice and healthy food.

You can decide whom to bring with you for the shoot so that it’s helpful for you.

Choose what to wear.Go with comfortable fabrics.Keep your colours simple and avoid printed clothes.
Make sure you have the right undergarments.I always recommend nude underwear and strapless bras, and some black and white underwear.

On the day of your shoot carry a bag where you put all your dresses and makeup.Extra garments and shoes of your husband.

Don’t stress before the shoot.Sleep well so that you feel fresh for the photoshoot.

Discuss with your photographer and make a list of all the items that you need to carry.It will be helpful for you to remember.
